Football Recap: Afton Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Afton came up short against Summit Christian Academy, falling 30-10. Afton lost against Summit Christian Academy in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-16 score last time.

Afton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Summit Christian Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Looking ahead, Afton will welcome Fairland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls' defense has only allowed 11.4 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Porter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
