Basketball Recap: Ashton Uballe's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Blanco over Ingram Moore

Blanco came up into this matchup off a tough 20-point loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Ingram Moore Warriors by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Blanco lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ashton Uballe, who posted six points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Uballe a new career-high in steals. Kaylee Romero was another key player, putting up nine points.

Blanco's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Ingram Moore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

The future could be bright for both Blanco and Ingram Moore: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Blanco will try to hand Comfort their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Ingram Moore will try to hand Llano their third-straight loss when the two meet at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
