Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Spartans are ranked 261st) , the win last Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

A big part of T.C. Roberson's win came down to the chemistry between Karod Harris and his top target Kanyus Atkins. Harris threw for 232 yards and three TDs on only 19 passes while Atkins picked up 154 receiving yards and three scores. Atkins' longest reception was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total. Chanten Wynn made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

T.C. Roberson didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited South Caldwell to a completion percentage of just 35%. That defensive display was nothing new: the Rams have limited their opponent to a lower and lower completion percentage in three consecutive contests.

T.C. Roberson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Kevion Holloway led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Another thorn in South Caldwell's side was Tariq Sibert, who picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (6.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 39 points the game before, Asheville was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against Watauga, falling 49-7. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Asheville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for T.C. Roberson, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

T.C. Roberson was dealt a bruising 45-15 defeat at the hands of Asheville in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
