Softball Recap: Satellite Comes Up Short

After flying high against Palm Bay on Thursday, Satellite came back down to earth. The Scorpions fell 5-2 to the Pembroke Pines Charter Jaguars on Friday. If the Scorpions were looking for revenge after losing 8-1 to the Jaguars when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Abigal Scaglione was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Mella Castronovo was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Satellite has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Satellite has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Eau Gallie on the 18th. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Western at 6:30 p.m. on the 25th.
