Basketball Recap: Westview Piles Up the Points Against South Sioux City

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Westview's strategy against South Sioux City on Wednesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Westview Wolverines blew the South Sioux City Cardinals out of the water with a 66-23 final score. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Westview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalyn Bailey led the charge by shooting 60% from the field to rack up 14 points. Macy Kellner was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Westview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Sioux City only three assists.

When it comes to explaining why South Sioux City lost, don't look at IzaBella Moret. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points. What's more, Moret also posted a 43% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024.

Westview has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season. South Sioux City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Westview has already played their next game, a 53-48 loss against Millard South on the 28th. South Sioux City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
