Lincolnton had won two straight home games and Akira Connor did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Wolves walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cherryville Ironmen with plenty of help from Connor, who had 30 digs and seven aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Lincolnton was especially dominant in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 15-25, 25-6.

Despite the loss, Cherryville still got an impressive performance from Camryn Shirley, who had ten digs and two aces.

Lincolnton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Cherryville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Lincolnton will challenge Shelby at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherryville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
