Basketball Game Preview: Chillicothe Cavaliers vs. McClain Tigers

The Chillicothe Cavaliers will square off against the McClain Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Chillicothe has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while McClain will arrive with 16 straight victories.

Last Monday, Chillicothe was beaten by Hillsboro 61-22. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 701st, while the Indians are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, McClain was able to grind out a solid win over Lynchburg-Clay on Monday, taking the game 49-36.

McClain's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.2 points per game. As for Chillicothe, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
