Recap: Smoky Valley Vikings vs. Trinity Celtics
The Smoky Valley Vikings lost against the Trinity Celtics last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Smoky Valley fell just short of Trinity by a score of 49-46. Smoky Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kristian Ryan, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ryan has scored all season. Ki Blanchat was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Smoky Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Trinity, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Smoky Valley will take on Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bennington at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th. Bennington presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity in Kansas (Bennington is ranked 45th, while Trinity is ranked 168th).
