Volleyball Recap: Vanguard College Prep Comes Up Short

Vanguard College Prep lost against River Islands back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Riptide. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in March.

Vanguard College Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Vanguard College Prep now has a losing record of 3-4. As for River Islands, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Vanguard College Prep has already played their next contest (against Humphreys Able Charter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for River Islands, they will be taking part in a tournament against Edison at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Riptide surely won't give up without a fight.
