Baseball Recap: Lincoln Southwest Victorious

Lincoln Southwest's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Omaha Westside Warriors by a score of 7-3. The win continues a trend for the Silver Hawks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won three in a row.

Andrew Jackson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Bolte, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Ty Phillips was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Lincoln Southwest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.

As for Omaha Westside, they will square off against Bellevue East on Monday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
