Basketball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

Cascade lost against Edgewood back in February of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cascade Cadets took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgewood Mustangs.

Owen Mcgovern went supernova for Edgewood, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The match was Mcgovern's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Huttenlocker, who posted ten points and three steals.

Cascade's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Edgewood, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Cascade and Northview will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. As for Edgewood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-54 defeat against Bloomfield on the 14th.
