Baseball Recap: Cimarron Takes a Loss

Cimarron suffered their biggest defeat since March 28th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Holcomb Longhorns, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost six in a row.

Cimarron saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Breck Averhoff, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Cimarron's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3-2. As for Holcomb, their record is now 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Longhorns beat Cimarron by a score of 10-5 later that day.
