Volleyball Recap: Overland Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Overland Christian hadn't done well against El Dorado Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Eagle walked away with a 2-0 win over the Buffalos. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagle as it spelled an end to their five-match losing streak.

Overland Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept El Dorado Christian between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Overland Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jolie Menil, who had five aces, four digs, and two blocks. That's the most blocks Menil has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Lydia Duckworth, who had 11 digs and two aces.

Overland Christian's record now sits at 8-11. As for El Dorado Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-10.

As of now, neither Overland Christian nor the Buffalos have any future games scheduled.
