Boyd's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let the Pilot Point Bearcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Considering the Yellowjackets have won 14 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Boyd is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pilot Point, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Boyd will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bearcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
