Volleyball Game Preview: Lindblom Eagles vs. Victoria Soto Wolves

The Lindblom Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Victoria Soto Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Lindblom came up short against Kenwood and fell 2-0.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Kenwood scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Victoria Soto also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Hancock by a score of 2-0.

While Victoria Soto was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22.

Lindblom dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Victoria Soto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8-1 record this season.

Lindblom was able to grind out a solid win over Victoria Soto when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
