Baseball Recap: Tecumseh Comes Up Short

Tecumseh and Bishop McGuinness squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Tecumseh had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Fighting Irish by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Savages couldn't push the score so high this time.

Lane Steward was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Tecumseh moved to 12-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Bishop McGuinness, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-11 record.

Tecumseh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop McGuinness, they will square off against Newcastle at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Racers will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Fighting Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
