Baseball Recap: Union County Patriots vs. Tri Titans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greensburg, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Tri Titans get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The Patriots not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 14-2).

Logan Boone made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Union County got a massive performance out of Cole Cheatham, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Coleton Wicker, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Union County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .519. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The victory snapped Union County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-14 record. As for Tri, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16-1.
Coming up, Union County will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Centerville at 5:30 p.m. As for Tri, they are taking a road trip to challenge Indiana School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
