Softball Recap: Levelland Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Levelland came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Big Spring Steers with a sharp 13-2 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Levelland pushed their record up to 24-3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Big Spring, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Levelland will face off against rival Snyder at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lobos 2.5, the Tigers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Big Spring is set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
