Softball Recap: North Sevier Takes a Loss

If North Sevier was feeling good fresh off their 17-2 takedown of Piute on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves fell just short of the Timpview Thunderbirds by a score of 12-11 on Monday.

North Sevier got a massive performance out of Payton Bailey, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Quarnberg, who went 3-for-5 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

North Sevier's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Timpview, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

Looking ahead, North Sevier will take on Delta at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rabbits have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.48 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Timpview, they will venture away from home to square off against Wasatch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
