Volleyball Game Preview: Perry Panthers vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles

The Perry Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the GlenOak Golden Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Perry is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marlington just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Dukes. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Panthers haven't been shut out since back in August.

While Perry was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, GlenOak didn't have quite enough to beat McKinley on Thursday and fell 3-2.

GlenOak started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 13-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-13.

Perry's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for GlenOak, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything went Perry's way against GlenOak in their previous matchup on September 9th, as Perry made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
