Recap: Daleville Warhawks vs. Opp Bobcats
The Daleville Warhawks posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They skirted past Opp 40-37. This was payback for Daleville, who suffered a 52-47 loss the last time these two teams met.
Opp's loss came despite strong showings from Josh Smith and Dorian Harris. Smith scored 17 points along with five rebounds, while Harris dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Harris is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Alan Jones was another key contributor, scoring four points.
The victory got Daleville back to even at 9-9. As for Opp, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daleville will challenge New Brockton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Opp, they will head out on the road to face off against Pike County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
