Volleyball Game Preview: Mansfield Christian Flames vs. Ashland Arrows

Mansfield Christian is 0-3 against Ashland since October of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Flames will face off against the Arrows at 7:00 p.m.

Mansfield Christian came up short against Northmor on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Mansfield Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Ashland hadn't done well against Lexington recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Arrows walked away with a 3-1 win over the Minutemen.

While Ashland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lexington scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 16-25, 25-21.

Mansfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Ashland, their record now sits at 12-9.

Mansfield Christian might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Ashland when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Flames avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
