For the second straight game, East Union will face off against Manteca. The Lancers will be playing at home against the Buffaloes at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. East Union is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, East Union came up short against Manteca and fell 6-2.

For Manteca's part, Jimmy Burns looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Burns has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nate Slikker, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Chris Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

East Union's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Manteca, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
