Softball Recap: Winneconne Takes a Loss

Winneconne lost to Seymour on April 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolves took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Mitchell led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. Aubrey Mitchell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Winneconne's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Seymour, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winneconne will host Freedom at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Seymour, they will welcome Shawano Community at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
