Recap: Mullins Auctioneers vs. Crestwood Knights
The Mullins Auctioneers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 78-61 bruising from Crestwood. While losing is never fun, Mullins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while Crestwood is ranked second).
Mullins lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being JJ Davis, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Dakarai Worley was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Mullins' loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Crestwood, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Mullins and C.A. Johnson will face off at 1:30 p.m. on December 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully C.A. Johnson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. Crestwood won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kingstree at 4:00 p.m. on December 23rd.
