Softball Recap: Bear Lake Comes Up Short

Bear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mesick Bulldogs, falling 12-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 last Monday.

Bear Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia Girven, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

Bear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Mesick, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear Lake will take on Glen Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mesick, they will welcome Houghton Lake at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
