Basketball Recap: King Finds Home Court Redemption Against Miller

There's no place like home for King, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They managed a 46-41 win over the Miller Buccaneers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Buccaneers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-49 loss.

Several Buccaneers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was George Simmons, who posted 18 points. Simmons' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Corey Holmes was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

King's victory bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Miller, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-13.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-49 loss against Ray on the 28th. As for Miller, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, an 88-38 win against Corpus Christi Moody on the 28th.
