Volleyball Recap: Seaholm/Groves Comes Up Short

Seaholm/Groves was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Farmington Falcons. The Maples were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Seaholm/Groves wouldn't go down easily and took Farmington into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, 23-25, 15-12.

Seaholm/Groves' loss dropped their record down to 7-10-4. As for Farmington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-10.

Coming up, Seaholm/Groves will host Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Farmington, they will square off against Canton Preparatory at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
