Volleyball Game Preview: Eastern Greene Thunderbirds vs. Bloomfield Cardinals

The Eastern Greene Thunderbirds will head out on the road to take on the Bloomfield Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Monday, Eastern Greene came up short against South Knox and fell 3-1. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Eastern Greene started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-10, 25-12, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Bloomfield also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Northeast Dubois by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 20-25, 25-22.

Eastern Greene's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Bloomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Eastern Greene beat Bloomfield 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
