Softball Recap: Silsbee Comes Up Short

Silsbee and Salado squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Silsbee had to settle for second. They fell 5-2 to the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Silsbee's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Salado, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

While Silsbee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
