Basketball Game Preview: Weeki Wachee Hornets vs. Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers

The Weeki Wachee Hornets will square off against the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Weeki Wachee came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Central, falling 64-31. The loss put an end to the Hornets' undefeated start to the season.

Defeat or not, Weeki Wachee got some senior leadership from Donnie BeCude and Conner Boyle. BeCude shot 46% from the field on his way to 13 points and five rebounds, while Boyle posted seven points. BeCude has also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 46% every time he's hit the court this season.

Meanwhile, Angeline Academy of Innovation ended up a good deal behind Pasco last Thursday and lost 44-27. The Archers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Weeki Wachee fell to 2-1. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
