Sparks proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Reed Raiders, sneaking past 1-0. Give Sparks' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Anthony Gutierrez, who's now up to ten this season.

Sparks' victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Reed, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sparks will square off against rival Hug at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Reed is set to face off against their familiar foe Reno at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
