After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Templeton, Nipomo was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Santa Maria Saints 16-2. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Aden Willis was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Nipomo's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Silveira, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Nipomo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Maria only posted a batting average of .200.

The victory got Nipomo back to even at 8-8. As for Santa Maria, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Nipomo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Santa Maria: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
