Football Recap: Mohave Thunderbirds vs. Northwest Christian Crusaders
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mohave walked away with it. They came out on top against the Northwest Christian Crusaders by a score of 42-34 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Thunderbirds, who have now won six matchups in a row.
Mohave had a senior duo take command as Deegan Perry gained 156 total yards and four touchdowns and Joe Yoney threw for 228 yards and three TDs. Yoney also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Mohave was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 298 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2024.
