Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Letcher County Central). They blew past the Leslie County Eagles 12-1 on Tuesday. The Cougars / Lady Cougars have beaten the Eagles the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

Keaton Maggard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Maggard was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Letcher County Central got a massive performance out of Quentin Williams, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Clay Hall was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Letcher County Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leslie County only posted an OBP of .316.

Letcher County Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games.
