Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Meanwhile, Massabesic took a serious blow against Scarborough on Saturday, falling 61-23. While losing is never fun, Massabesic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Scarborough is ranked ninth).
Massabesic's loss came about despite a quality game from Candice Daigle, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Bonny Eagle's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Massabesic, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Bonny Eagle ended up a good deal behind Massabesic in their previous matchup on December 8th, losing 43-29. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Massabesic's Lydia Desrochers, who scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. Now that Bonny Eagle knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
