Softball Recap: Redwood Beats Tamalpais for Their Fifth Straight Win

While Redwood's victory against Tamalpais wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Redwood skirted past Tamalpais 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Giants, who have now won five games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ava Brown, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Gia Meyers also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Redwood's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Tamalpais, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Redwood will challenge rival San Marin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Redwood 3.6, San Marin 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Tamalpais is set to face off against their familiar foe San Rafael at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
