Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lancaster took on Kennedale on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Their offense was headlined by Jurnee Cox and Micheala Bradford, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Cydnee Patt and her 14 assists. Bradford was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Kennedale, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Lancaster will face off against Mansfield Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedale, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Cleburne on the 16th.
