Emmanuel Christian will be up against a hot Community Christian Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Ambassadors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Jefferson Davis Academy on Monday.
Community Christian Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-19.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Emmanuel Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on Orangeburg Christian Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Emmanuel Christian was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-11.
Community Christian Academy better focus on containing Megan Butler and Addyson Matthews as the pair were huge in Emmanuel Christian's win. Butler had nine digs and four aces, while Matthews hit 60% for six kills and 29 digs and six aces. What's more, Matthews racked up 18 assists, the most she's had since back in August.
Emmanuel Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 27 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Community Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Emmanuel Christian, their win bumped their record up to 14-3-1.
