Softball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont lost against Oakmont back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rosemont Wolverines fell 8-5 to the Oakmont Vikings. The Wolverines' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Jalaya Cozart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Gabriyanna Vegafria, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Rosemont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oakmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Rosemont will square off against Galt at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakmont, they will challenge Bear River at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bear River will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
