Basketball Recap: Watersprings Extends Winning Streak to Four

Watersprings entered their tilt with Mackay on Tuesday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Mackay Miners with a sharp 65-41 win. Watersprings pushed the score to 47-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Mackay had little chance of recovering from.

Watersprings' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Titus Driver, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Driver has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Korban Nelson, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 17 points and five blocks.

Watersprings was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mackay only one assist.

Mackay lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jesse Barger, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. Kaizer Summers was another key player, putting up ten points and eight rebounds.

Watersprings pushed their record up to 19-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Mackay, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.

Watersprings wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-49 win against Rockland on the 26th. As for Mackay, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-43 defeat against Grace Lutheran on the 22nd.
