North Oconee has gone a perfect 5-0 against Walnut Grove recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Titans will welcome the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. North Oconee's defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so Walnut Grove's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, North Oconee earned a 21-14 win over Flowery Branch. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Falcons are ranked 81st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Walnut Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Madison County.

North Oconee will need to focus on slowing down Desmond Parker, one of several Walnut Grove players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 140 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Billy Hendrix, who threw for 94 yards and a pair of TDs.

North Oconee's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Walnut Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for North Oconee against Walnut Grove in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 68-3 win. In that matchup, the Titans amassed a halftime lead of 48-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
