Laguna Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Castaic Coyotes. Even though they lost, the Hawks' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Kennedy Patterson and Tabitha Kim did some serious damage despite the final result: Patterson scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Kim scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Patterson also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kassidy Patterson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Laguna Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Castaic, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Laguna Hills has already played their next match (against Tournament Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Castaic, they will head out on the road to square off against West Ranch at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Castaic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
