Volleyball Recap: Righetti Comes Up Short

Righetti was the 3-1 winner over Orcutt Academy when they last played one another on April 1st, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Thursday.

Righetti was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Orcutt Academy work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 26-24, 25-20.

Righetti's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Orcutt Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

Righetti will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Nipomo at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Orcutt Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Atascadero at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
