Basketball Recap: North Georgia Christian Academy Comes Up Short

North Georgia Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 78-77 heartbreaker at the hands of Crossroads Christian Academy. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-57 back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, North Georgia Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Luke Beaver dropped a triple-double on 46 points, 12 boards, and ten assists. The matchup was Beaver's 32nd in a row with at least ten points. Zed Blackwell was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 11 points.

Even though they lost, North Georgia Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

North Georgia Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Crossroads Christian Academy, they moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

North Georgia Christian Academy will take on Eastgate Life Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Georgia Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.2 points per game this season. Crossroads Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
