Basketball Game Preview: Columbia River Rapids vs. WF West Bearcats

Columbia River has won ten straight games at home, while WF West has won ten straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Columbia River Rapids will host the WF West Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Monday, Columbia River made easy work of Black Hills and carried off a 62-41 win. That's two games straight that the Rapids have won by exactly 21 points.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for WF West on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Woodland out of the water with a 67-25 final score. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 20th, while the Beavers are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbia River's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for WF West, their win bumped their record up to 22-1.

Columbia River came up short against WF West in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 54-41. Can Columbia River avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
