Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Christian Patriots vs. Yakama Nation Tribal Eagles

Liberty Christian hasn't had much luck against Yakama Nation Tribal recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Having just played yesterday, the Liberty Christian Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Yakama Nation Tribal Eagles at 4:30 p.m.

On Friday, Liberty Christian was beaten by Sunnyside Christian 42-13. The match marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Yakama Nation Tribal entered their tilt with Touchet on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Redhawks 72-15. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Redhawks are ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Yakama Nation Tribal's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points per game. As for Liberty Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Liberty Christian suffered a grim 61-38 defeat to Yakama Nation Tribal in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Liberty Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
