Baseball Game Preview: North Catholic Trojans vs. Hampton Talbots

The North Catholic Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Hampton Talbots at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Catholic has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for North Catholic's offense. They came up short against Hopewell on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Hampton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Knoch on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Talbots.

North Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

North Catholic couldn't quite get it done against Hampton when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
