Basketball Recap: West Valley Comes Up Short

West Valley extended their losing streak to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-15. They took a blow against the Service Cougars, falling 78-12. The game marked the Wolf Pack's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hayden Ferringer was West Valley's leading scorer, having posted five points.

As for Service, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Aryanna Watson was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was JJ Schmidlkofer, who posted 12 points.

West Valley has already played their next game, a 42-23 win against Tikigaq on the 14th. As for Service, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-55 victory against Barrow on the 13th.
