Shelby strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past the Highland Fighting Scots to the tune of 48-0. Given the Whippets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Fighting Scots are ranked 365th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shelby's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Highland, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelby will head out to face off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clear Fork at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
